Mountain Resort, north of Westbank in the Okanagan region of
British Columbia, offers downhill skiers and snowboarders some
awesome terrain, a friendly staff, and affordable prices that
allow the whole family to ski within their budget.
Get High, The Ice Tower is in operation! Come and climb and
experience the thrill of a 30-foot Ice Tower, the first of it's
kind at a ski area in Western Canada. For a small fee, we will
gear you up and an experienced climber will teach you the lingo
and how to use ice cleats and ice picks,and how to climb up
and descend an ice wall. Then you will climb the wall on your
own while at all times secured by belay. When you are ready,
we will lower you to "rappel" you back to the ground This is
available on Saturdays and Sundays only.
Crystal Mountain is located 9.5 miles (15 km) northwest of Westbank
and 19 miles (30 km) west of Kelowna. From Kelowna, take Highway
97 south past Westbank and take the Glenrosa exit. Follow Glenrosa
Road for 7.5 miles (12 km). From Vancouver and Merritt, take
Highway 97C "the connector" then north on Highway 97. Take the
Glenrosa exit and follow Glenrosa Road for 7.5 miles (12 km).
