Lynx High-Speed Catamaran Ferry |
Harbour Lynx
operates a passenger-only express island ferry between Nanaimo on
Central Vancouver Island and Vancouver Downtown on the British Columbia
mainland. Harbour Lynx uses a high-speed catamaran for the important
route between Nanaimo and Vancouver. It is 40 meters in length,
carries 300 passengers, and travels at a cruising speed of 30 knots.
Amenities on
board include a snack/coffee bar, washrooms, and a limited-view
outer deck.

Transit time between
Nanaimo and Vancouver is approximately 80 minutes. Harbour Lynx suggests
that passengers arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure to ensure
passage. Boarding will commence at that time.
Sailing Schedule
Harbour Lynx has three scheduled sailing a day in each direction.
With advance notice, extra sailings may be added or slight delays
to scheduled departures may be incurred due to special events -
weather, sports, concerts, performing arts etc. Schedule is subject
to change.
