We regret
that postings to our Billboard cannot be accepted from this computer,
as a previous posting has contravened our policy governing participation
in the forum. If you feel this action to be in error, please email
the webmaster and provide your IP address so we can investigate
the matter. We will not respond to emails that don't include an
IP address, nor will we respond to email addresses that provide
anonymity (Hotmail, Yahoo etc.)
IP Address
Users are occasionally blocked from posting without having contravened
the forum rules. When someone contravenes our forum rules, we
use the offender's IP address to block further postings from that
computer. However, a user's browser often displays an IP address
that belongs to the proxy server on their network that serves
tens of thousands of customers (as with Shaw). This may be the
case with your browser, and your proxy server IP might be included
on our blacklist due to the actions of someone else on the same
network.
If you
disable the proxy in your browser, the forum will then see your
DHCP assigned IP address. The link below provides easy-to-follow
instructions on how to do this. In the LAN Settings window the
box for 'Automatically detect settings' must NOT be checked.
Please email us if the 'Automatically detect settings' box is
unchecked and you are still unable to post to our forum.

Billboard
Policy
Our Billboard allows free expression on subjects appropriate
or related to British Columbia. The forum is for non-profit
and non-commercial messages only. Messages deemed to be for
gain will be removed, as will any postings containing offensive
language, unacceptable content, message of hate, or personal
attacks on other users. Offenders will be blocked from further
postings.
