We moved a year ago from Hogtown to Victoria and that was the best decision we've ever made!
Housing is excellent. Weather is temperate.
Lots of employment opportunitys exist. Very easy to find well paying work in a diverse range of fields.
Victoria has many beautiful & natural places to explore & enjoy like Goldstream park, Mt Finlyson, Esquimalt & Wittys Lagoon, Galloping goose trail, Trestles, Miles of Waterfront beach. Walkways, trails to name just a few! There's also the breakwater, Causeway. Inner harbor Art gallery s. Museums. Beacon hill park. Lots of Day & Night life. Many events throughout the year. Victoria has a variety of Excellent restaurants. A Chinatown etc.
There is crime in any city but we have an excellent police force & it is extremely low. Its by far much worse & widespread in nanaimo than anywhere else on the island, & employment is extremely limited there too.
In Victoria I am safe downtown at any time of day or night!
It is very exciting to be living the good life in paradise! Victoria is an excellent City with so much to see, do & discover. It just keeps getting better each & every day here! |
