The 29-Foot Nitinat Warrior
Thanks for visiting my webpage. Many of you know me as Fred, the Nitinat Lake Campsite (Former) Manager (Windsurfer Campsite 2003-04). This is my fourth season now providing Whale Watching Tours, Fishing Charters, Cultural Tours and Lake Tours on and around Nitinat Lake on southern Vancouver Island.

I have now expanded my Business Services to include:

One 29-foot skiff with cabin.
The 29-foot skiff was purchased in September 2005, and is the fastest boat on Nitinat lake! It has a 225-hp, four-stroke Yamaha outboard motor and can reach the ocean in just 20 minutes. 35-min ride to Swiftsure Bank and the halibut/chinook/coho fishing grounds. When the gillnet drum is removed, the boat can accommodate up to 10-people for whale watching, or 6 people for fishing. Lots of deck room.
Two open boats, both 24 foot; can accommodate 10 passengers.
One 24-foot Fifth Wheel Trailer; sleeps six people.
Hydro and water located close to the entrance.
Rustic Two-Bedroom Cabin across Nitinat Lake from the campsite (west side).
Cabin is only accessible by boat.
One canoe for rent, and possibly a motor boat.
Tour to Canadas largest tree.
The Cheewhat Giant is about a 40-minute drive from the Nitinat Campsite, with a 25-minute easy to moderate hike from the road.
Cultural Tour to Tsuxwkwaada Village.
Tsuxwkwaada Village is one of the best examples of the intact remains of traditional longhouses on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
Black Bear Watching.
Cruise Nitinat Lake aboard our 24-oot aluminum open vessel in search of these magnificent creatures as they scour the beaches for crabs. Departure times are flexible.
Sea Lion Tours.
Marvel at the sights and sounds of Stellar’s and California Sea Lions. This tour can be combined with whale watching. While we see Gray Whales on 99% of our whale tours, we also see Orcas (Killer) Whales about three to four times a season. Humpback Whales are occassionally observed during the summer months. Departs daily.
Wildlife Viewing and Bird Watching.
Other wildlife that may be sighted includes Harbor Porpoises, Seals, Sea Lions, Deer, Wolf, Otter, Mink and Raccoons. Species of birds include Bald Eagles and their nests, Great Blue Herons, Puffins, Loons, Cormorants, Grebes, Murres, Murrelets, and countless other species of sea birds. Please remember to bring warm clothing (layers), and don’t forget your camera and binoculars.
Nitinat Lake and Specialty Tours.
Intimate lake tours, beach drop offs, picnics, sunset tours, and other specialty year-round tours. Escape the mosquitoes in the late afternoon and early evening. Rates and departures vary by request.
Family Fun Fishing; guided fishing adventure.
Specializing in Jigging Cod and Trolling for Salmon for the family; gear supplied.
Best Windsurfing and Kitesurfing in North America.
