Freedom to move is
one of the big attractions of small guest ranches in the Cariboo. Smaller places
provide a spontaneity and intimacy missing from some of the larger guest ranches,
where supervised horse tours are more the order of the day. If you want a horse
adventure, this is the way to go. Guests are invited to help the ranch hand each
morning load the hay, feed and water the animals, and collect the eggs. Competent
riders will also have the opportunity to "be a cowboy" and move the cattle on
the open range.

the rolling hills of Big Bar Mountain, through spectacular canyons and drop down
to the plateaus above the Fraser River. Let friendly wranglers guide you along
breathtaking trails where you’ll see century old Indian carvings on cliff edges,
mountain sheep and rock formations that are a photographer's heaven.
Experience the challenge of
survival for four days and three nights out on the range and relax two days and
two nights at the ranch. An experienced guide will escort you along breathtaking
trails, where you will see wildlife, Indian carvings and interesting land formations.
Camp out under the stars, enjoy late night campfires and warm western hospitality.
